c) Join Google AdSense program and start earning advertising revenue from your website.

The first and second ways take a lot of time and require experience and knowledge of Internet marketing. The third option is much easier and quicker to make money online. To start your AdSense campaign you need to first join Google AdSense program. You don’t need a professional look or fantastic site to sign up with Google AdSense program. A clean and simple site will be good enough.

The content of your website can be any topic as long as it does not violate Google policies. You can read more about Google policies at https://www.google.com/adsense/policies. You can write a topic or subject that is related to your experience, area of expertise, interest or background. If you are an expert at something you can make your content valuable and useful to others by providing advice and educational resources. If your interest and hobby are sport cars, you may introduce the latest models of sport cars and discuss some of the best tools for building the sports cars.

If you have no idea of what topic to write or have no interest at all in writing something, you still can own a money making AdSense site. Your solution is create a website solely to publish articles written by different authors. Just choose one topic or more and put several relevant articles for each topic and place your Google ads on each article page.

Build an AdSense site with minimum cost
Hiring a professional to build a site is expensive. Finding a freelancer to create a website will be much cheaper. However employing a freelancer is still not the most effective way to minimize your cost. The best way to minimize cost is use free website builder to create website. There are several free website builders allow users to build website without experience and technical knowledge. Pay-per-click (PPC) programs allow you to bid for top-ranking positions on the keywords you have selected. When a visitor searches the keyword(s) you bid on and then click through to your site, you pay the amount you bid. The two most popular PPC programs are Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing. However it is costly to advertise on this two PPC search engines and probably you will face the problem of your AdSense earning can’t cover the advertising cost. When you sign up to advertise with them, they will distribute your contextual ads to the categories and websites within their network of your choice. You have no doubt will advertise on those categories and high traffic sites related to you website. You should also consider select those unrelated categories as well because these categories could send you targeted visitors and increase your AdSense revenue. Don’t set your bid too high. Just anyway from 6 cents to 9 cents should be good enough to drive hundreds of targeted visitors to your site within few days. As long as the daily AdSense earning greater than the daily advertising cost, you can continue your ad campaigns.

RSS advertising
RSS advertising is a free away to gain more exposure for your website. By creating an RSS file and submitting it to those RSS directories and search engines, the links to the content in your website will appear in front of those who read information using RSS readers or news aggregators and as a result driving targeted visitors to your website. How To Make an Invisible Folder and Hide Private Files

Windows XP Logo

There are many tips and tricks that can be applied to Windows XP in order to save or hide your private files. Some of these tricks require the use of certain softwares while some tricks require complex manipulation and heavy tweaking to your registry. Jeff from I am Better Than You has come up with a sweet and simple little trick that can help you make an invisible folder so you can save your private files inside it.

Here is how the trick goes:

  1. Select the folder you want to make invisible
    invisible.gif
  2. Right Click on the folder and click Rename and then remove the current name of the folder. Windows does not allow you to have a nameless folder so to fool windows use the Alt+0160 combination to generate an invisible name for your folder
    invisible-2.gif
  3. Now again Right Click on the nameless folder and select Properties. Go to Customize tab and then click Change Icon
    invisible3.gif
  4. In the list of icons you will find 2-3 invisible icons. Select one of those invisible icons and press Ok and then again Ok. Congrats now you have an invisible folder
    invisible-4.gif

The most brilliant thing about this trick is that it only apparently makes your folder invisible thus blocking eye access to all files inside that folder and only you know where the folder is and can click on it any time just like you would on a normal Windows folder to see all the files hidden inside it.

Types of Business Credit Cards Accounts

There are many types of credit cards available. The cards are customized to fit a variety of needs, including high-risk, batch cards, business cards, restaurant and so much more.

Batch

The “Batch Credit Cards” are proposed to business owners that deal with “direct marketing” accounts, “telephone orders” and mail orders.” The card helps the business owner get the money on time. The payments in the business can be transferred immediately in batches with the credit card. This will allow the business owner to receive timely payments and send timely payments as well for inventory, or purchases. The “Batch Credit Cards” come with software that enables the business owner to “organize” the company’s fees. Furthermore, the software enables business owners to “upload” files “to a processor.” The card comes in handy also, if the business incurs “recurring transactions or fees.”

Merchant Consolidation
A “Merchant Account” is “the central bank” accounts that work to ‘consolidate” bills and payment, combining debits, “electronic checks, credit cards,” as well as other payment methods into one process…The bank transfers is transmitted from the consumer and the funds are deposited into the company’s business accounts. The process takes up to “two business days.’ The concept is to enable businesses to ‘accept” all major credit cards, including debit cards and electronic checks. The offer is to give businesses “fast, simple and free” support for operator businesses.

Merchant Restaurant/Retail
Restaurants often have high-volume processing money every day. Individuals that run ‘retail businesses or restaurants’ could benefit from Processing services that help the business accept credit cards. Many individuals and families will use their credit cards to payoff bills, dine out, etc., therefore the businesses that take credit cards are at risk. Merchant Accounts
and Retail Merchant Accounts make sense, in that the providers can take all major credit cards and personal checks. Many restaurant owners take more cash than most businesses, and use their credit cards to make purchases. Since, credit cards are used by both company and customer, and then the Merchant process can benefit the companies.

Business Credit Cards
Few of the Business Credit Cards include the CitiBusiness Cards. The cards help “10,000 Thank You Points” for ‘redeemable for $100 Gift” Cards. There are no annual fees on few of the CitiBusiness Cards, and no reward fees. The business can earn ‘3 points” per each dollar spent on business supplies and services. Few providers offer “free quarterly and annual statements’ that ‘track expenditures by spend category and employee.’ The business can apply for as many cards as needed. In addition, there is a 0% APR up to one year. Be sure to read the Terms & Conditions to learn more about the fees after the card has reached its term. The Platinum Business Cards form American Express offer no annual fees, 0% Introductory APR on credit card purchases, 4.99% for lifetime balance transfers, and enables businesses to pay the card monthly in full or partial installments.
The Business Cash Rebate Credit Cards from OPEN the Small Business Network offers 0% APR for the first six months. There are no limits on cash back programs, no bare minimum expenditure requirements, no annual fees, and the cardholder receives 5% Cash Rebates.
The Gold Delta SkyMiles Business Cards offer FREE first year holder, ‘15,000 Bonus SkyMiles, on the initial use of the card, ‘double miles” for selected category, 0% Introductory APR on purchase, and few companies offer to give decisions in less than one hour.

Visa Business
The Visa Business Cards help businesses to gain freedom from finance, and is a smart plan for managing your money. Few card providers offer detailed credit reporting to help businesses prosper by increasing their credit ratings. The cards can help businesses separate their personal debts and business debts. Card providers will send monthly statements to help the business owner keep track of its spending.

Benefits
Few of the benefits that are included in some Visa Business Cards may include, coverage for vehicle rentals “collision damage waiver,” inquiry services, “emergency cash disbursement & card replacement,” fraud protection, assistance for emergencies during travel, and security on purchases and “extended protection.”

Understanding Credit Cards before Applying Online

It is important that you understand all the details of credit cards, including the laws, to help you find the best rates. You will also need to compare companies, since few companies offer more for Your money. Notice I said money? Yes, when you own a credit card you will be paying interest rates, cash advance rates, default rates, late fees, and other charges against the balance owed on the card.

Nowadays, millions of people are going into debt by reason of overspending their limits on credit cards. Millions of people everyday makes purchase on credit cards, failing to consider the grace period when the bill amount is due. The grace period on some cards is as low as 20 days, meaning that the cardholder must pay the full balance in 20 days, or else.

If the cardholder neglects to pay the full balance due on the grace period, then the amount rolls over to the following month, making the cardholder pay the APR for the first month, and then the second month. If there are late charges, defaults, or other pending strikes on the cards, then additional fees are often attached to the following bill. If you miss too many payments, you are at risk of loosing your credit card.

As you can see, it is important to understand credit cards, since failure to understand can send you down the river. If you do not have paddles, balance, a boat, and some skill, that river may get rocky tossing you onto the banks of forbidden tolerance. Therefore, when you understand credit cards you are on your way to the next step. If you are applying for your first credit card, and understand that no credit will hinder you, then you may want to apply only for cards that offers you the most potential of getting the cards.

No credit is like having bad credit to some degree. When you do not have credit, lenders will often toss you in the high-risk category. Therefore, understanding that you have the right to be treated as a person with no credit is important. Creditors do not have the right to treat you as though you owe them money. Still, you are different from most; therefore, you must find a credit card that meets your criteria.

One of the biggest mistakes debtors do is apply for a credit card to get out of debt. This is ludicrous, since the person is in debt in the first place, and if they apply for a credit card, they are going way over the edge. The high-risk cards will often charge high interest rates, high initial fees, annual charges, and sometimes-upfront deposits. Some cards will extend the initial fees over to the following month and if the cardholder does not pay fee, then the cardholder is at risk of loosing the card. Furthermore, if the cardholder applies for high-risk cards and is accepted, the cardholder will only get around $250 credit line until the holder proves he can pay his debts. The $250 will not apply until the initial fee is paid in full. This means the cardholder must pay around $200 the first month of card ownership to receive $250 credit, and then if he needs to use the card to survive until the next month, he will repay more for high rates of interest and balance than what he had in the first place. Therefore, credit cards are no way out of debt.

Persons with no credit believe they must establish credit to survive in this selfish world. This is not true. Sure, more and more companies are demanding credit cards, but CASH has always been, and still is the top of the prime for paying for items, rent, etc. Furthermore, if you have no credit and apply for a credit card and land in debt, then you are going to wish you had no credit again. As you can see, credit cards are a setup, but they can come in handy if you have self-control. You must also learn responsibility to its max to hold a credit card.

Why Do You Need Credit Cards?

Why do you need credit cards? What is the purpose of having a major credit card? Can I control my spending if I apply for a major credit card? Notice this piece started out with questions, which I feel are three of the most important question anyone should ask, seeking a credit card. If you do not ask these questions before a applying for a credit card, guess what you will be saying later. Why did I apply for a credit card? What was my purpose? I wish I could have controlled my spending. This may or may not happen, but if you are searching for a credit card, you may want to ask your self-first, why you need a credit card.

Credit cards include Visa, MasterCard, Citi Cards, HSBC cards, American Express, and other types of cards. If you are searching for a credit card, you will need to understand what companies manufacture the credit cards, since some companies are replicating, taking people for a ride. You will also need to know the difference between Fixed Rate cards and Variable Rate cards. The Fixed Rate cards rarely change their APR, which is very important, while the Variable Rates are subject to change anytime they feel needed. The APR or Annual Percentage Rates are often steep on most credit cards anyway, but for the most part you will need to learn the difference between Variables and Fixed to avoid extra charges.

APR rates can start at 9.99% up to 17.99% and sometimes higher. It depends on your situation, but for the most part many card offers have the same rates. If you have no credit then you really need to research the marketplace carefully, since most card providers will consider you a risk. If you have bad credit, you will also need to search the marketplace carefully, since most cards for high-risk consumers have high upfront fees, plus high APR, and other fees.

The grace period is ESSENTAIL, since if you go over the grace period you are subject to additional charges. The grace period can extend to ‘25’ days, sometimes 20 days, and rarely more than 30 days. If you find a card with low interest rates and fees, with a grace period of 30 days, then hop on it. You are the lucky one, since these cards are next to impossible to get.

Annual rates are also important, simply because some card providers charge nominal fees for providing the card to the client. Many cards offer 0% APR and no annual fees. Be carefully that you read the Terms & Conditions carefully, since companies are on the marketplace misleading millions.

Balance Transferring is another issue you want to compare and consider. The transfers can run into high charges if you are not careful. Again, you want to remember your purpose of getting a credit card in the first place, and if that purpose is to provide you security, then the balance transfer is part of that purpose to consider. Some companies charge high APR on balance transferring.

Statements
You will also need to keep track of your statement if you are accepted for a credit card. The statement is important since it will show you the balance, APR, and any other details relative to your dues. If you notice any wrongful activity, it is important to file a report against the card providers immediately.

Limits
There are limits on credit cards. This is another area you want to be careful, since if you go beyond the cards limit, then you are subject to pay charges. Most credit card companies are like anyone else in the world, they are out to make profit. If you feel you have gone over your limit, be prepared to pay, since many companies will not allow room for time.

The Importance of Your Credit Report

How important is your credit report? Many people do not consider their credit rating as something very important to them in the grand scheme of their life, but there are other people who, understand its great importance, are greatly worried about the issue.

The people who should be worried are those who do not put much thought into how their credit report can affect their lives.

What do credit reports tell someone? They help to rate the risk that may be involved in lending you money. Lenders want their money and this report can help them in determining whether you are going to pay back the money loaned or not. A credit scoring and so they lend to high risk borrowers, due to the different categories of loans that they offer to you that depend upon your credit score. If you have a lower credit score, then your interest rate will be higher. You can pay up to twice as much as you would pay if you had a better credit rating. process was created to help lenders determine whether you are a good risk or not, ans this number is used to either approve your loan or reject your loan. That is the basic purpose of the credit scoring process, but some more crafty lenders desire to get more loans

There are many different things that you have to use your credit scoring for. This includes loans for cars, homes, education, and any other large purchases. If you have a low credit score, then it will be very difficult to purchase anything via a loan unless you are willing to pay the high interest rate and payments.

If you want to rent or lease a home your credit score may also come into play. Landlords want some assurance that you will pay your rent on time and this credit score can help you to show them that you are responsible. Keeping your credit score at a good level will allow you to find a quality home or apartment.

Some employers also use credit records to help determine whether they want to hire you or not. Most employers believe that there is a connection between a healthy credit report and the reliability of their future employee. This seems a little far-fetched, but many companies are moving this way regardless. That is just a few of the reasons that you should keep an eye on your credit record.

The Advantages Of Using Business Credit Cards For Your Small Business

As anyone who has ever tried to open their own small business knows, securing the right kind of financing, both start up and ongoing, can be the difference between a business that becomes and stays successful and a business that never gets off the ground. Oftentimes, start up funding is achieved by seeking bank loans or funding from venture capitalists.

However, once that initial funding has dried up, it is important to be able to rely on small business credit cards to get you and your business through lean times or to help you make large capital purchases when the need arises. Besides providing timely infusions of purchasing power, business credit cards have numerous other benefits that small business owners can use to their advantage.

One of the key advantages of using business credit cards to make business related purchases is that the monthly statements from business credit cards make it easy to track and itemize expenses that need to be accounted for at tax time.

The old method of keeping the stereotypical shoebox full of receipts is not a method that any serious business owner should consider using. Before signing up for your first business card, you should check to see whether the business credit cards that you are considering provide an end of the year purchase summary. This one piece of paper (or, if you administer your account online, this one web page) can make the act of itemizing deductions a piece of cake.

Another great advantage that business credit cards have is that they make it much easier to keep business and personal purchases separate. When business owners use their own accounts for making business purchases, it becomes much more difficult to sort out what was purchased for the business and what was purchased for the company when tax time comes. This will be particularly crucial should your business raise the attention of the IRS and be forced to undergo an audit.

Having business and personal purchases made in entirely separate accounts will help the business owner convince the IRS that those items that were deducted were in fact bona fide business expense items. Every small business owner should consider using business credit cards. Business credit cards not only help with capital expenditures, they also provide a handy paper trail that can be highly useful at tax time.

Credit card is a must or need?

The emergence of electronic age made almost everything possible to people. Determining and curing terminal diseases made convenient, reaching uncharted territories became a possibility, and most of all; everyday life of people is made easy by the technology. When it comes to finances, technology through efficient banking system and services has given people better alternatives and options how to manage their finances. Among the so many financial management schemes that emerged, one alternative stands out among the rest--the credit card.

Credit card, especially to working people and those who live very busy lives, has become an ultimate financial "savior." More than just being a status symbol or an add-on to expensive purses and wallets, credit card has revolutionized the way people spend their money. Since having a credit card is a responsibility, only those people who are of legal age and have the capability to pay off the amount they are going to spend through their credit card, is allowed to have one.

Nowadays there are many types of credit cards you can find and choose but the common types of credit cards available through banks and other financial institutions include Standard Credit Cards like Balance Transfer Credit Cards and Low Interest Creadit and Prepaid Debit Cards; and Specialty Credit Cards like Business Credit Cards and Student Credit Cards. Cards; Credit Cards with Rewards Programs like Airline Miles Credit Cards, Cash Back Credit Cards and Rewards Credit Cards; Credit Cards for Bad Credit like Secured Credit Cards

Now that you have an idea how many types of credit card there is, it is now time to review your goals before applying for one. Some of the things you should consider is how will you spend with the credit card monthly, if you plan to carry a balance at the end of the month, how much are you willing to pay in annual fees, if you have a strong credit history and is does your credit in need of rehabilitation. Once you have an idea of what you are looking for choose the right credit card for you by researching the information you need that will fit your basic needs. You may also review the credit cards you've research and compare them.

Although having a credit card is synonymous to invincibility, this may also trigger a person's thirst for material things and may lead into the temptation of buying something they don't really need. A credit card bearer should always have in mind that having a credit card is a big responsibility. If they don't use it carefully, these may owe more than they can repay. It can also damage their Credit report, and create credit problems that are quite difficult to repair. You should always be known that the credit card never told you how much you should spend but you should ask yourself on how to control the cards.

Getting your website indexed is first step of google optimization

The first aim of any webmaster for their website is to get indexed in Google which takes a long time for some web promoters as they do not follow the Google basics. How ever there is no problem and it is easy to get index in Google within a few days.

The first task after completion of your website is to create a Google sitemap for it. Sitemap displays the structure and layout of your website in a way that search engines access them with an ease. This is the file in the form of a coding. There are different web services that can generate various varieties of sitemaps after scanning your site. You can create an xml sitemap for Google which provides it in different formats. In its simple form its normal sitemap while others are compressed and ror sitemaps.

When your sitemap is created, you can save it and upload it after storing it in the folder created on root or store it directly on root. . Create an account with the Google for submitting your sitemap. Follow all the instructions there to get your sitemap verified and then submit the generated sitemaps.

Now submit your content to the Google to make to make it aware that you need to get crawl your website by googlebot. Add your website url in the Google and submit the required content. Google will consider your sitemap and content within a week or two. Apart from these it also depends on the relevancy of website content apart from it being indexed.

Search engine works on the basis of spider software that searches through a website. When this spider finds a link on a webpage it follows that link. If your link of website y is there on website x, then spider will divert towards website y from website x. Thus if your link is there in good established website then spider can follow to your website.

The way of getting link on other website can be by submitting article to an article directory. Write an article which is completely free and based on your website. In the author resource box you can insert a link back to your website. The more links which you have pointing towards your website the faster it will get indexed, So write more articles which are based around on the theme of your website. Another benefit is people will read your articles and it will generate visitors for you.

Another way is to buy text-link ads which are displayed on an already established website that is currently indexed in Google. Through this you can achieve a back link from Google trusted sites. You have to pay for it but your website will be index in the shortest possible time.

Making Money with Kontera

Google Adsense ads have become ubiquitous. It's hard to find many sites that aren't running their contextual text advertisements.

However, there ARE other options available for site publishers wishing to monetize their Web pages.

I recently came across a site called Kontera. They have a different approach to contextual advertising. Rather than display ads directly on the site, their engine looks at a web page and highlights certain keywords on the page by placing a double blue line underneath the word.

This is a unique approach to contextual advertising because the ad is hidden until the visitor decides to roll the mouse over the link. It allows the web publisher to have more space for content. And when a visitor sees the ad, they may be more likely to click it due to the novelty of the link.

You may see Kontera ads appearing on this site.

If you own a site, you may want to take a look at putting Kontera on your pages.

What is Podcasting?

Podcasting is very popular these days. What is podcasting and how does it affect our lives? Podcasting works like a radio. Once you have chosen a station, you are easily connected to your favorite songs every time you hook on that station.

In the same way, podcasting can readily provide you with "multimedia" files that you can download anytime. And when you mean multimedia, you can expect an array of entertainment files ranging from sounds, graphical images, or videos.

Podcasting uses a simple format that can automatically distribute files as they are produced. In most cases, podcasting uses a unique system known as RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds.

In 2004, an ex-vee jay, named Adam Curry, had envisioned a greater future for multimedia as the idea of podcasting came into view. Through iPods and MP3 players, music and video enthusiasts can easily access to thousands of music and video files by simply subscribing to RSS feeds.

Even if podcasting sounds like that of the iPods, it has nothing to do with the item. The only connection between podcasting and iPods is the popularity that iPods have by the time podcasting was conceptualized.

However, because of this technology, the functionality of iPods was maximized. The connection between iPods and podcasting has been rationalized.

Since its inception, podcasting has created many benefits to many consumers, especially those who would like to experience a new form of entertainment.

Here are some of the advantages of podcasting:

Convenience: With podcasting, consumers do not have to check on their favorite websites every single day to download the newest and the freshest multimedia contents. They can easily get access to thousands of multimedia files through RSS feeds.

Variety: The items that can be retrieved are innumerable.

Realism: With podcasting, you get to hear and view the world in a more realistic way.

Podcasting is not just another fad that will soon fade away. It is something that is definitely here to stay and providing great value to users.

Web Site Optimization - 5 Steps

Targeted audience: the basic rule of the he web page optimization starts here; there are few tips that a person follows so as to make your optimization purpose successful. The rule is that when starting with the process you should first decide for whom you are making your website and optimizing. It is the first point to be considered that the website is for what and whom. It then appears that wither the website is related to business-to-business terms or it is business-to-consumers. It is really a matter of fact, otherwise your pages and content doesn't count well and you will face a loss. Web page will be ignored, no matter how many efforts have u put on it, how many pages or what special design have u given to it. The purpose is to direct people towards you. Until and unless you are not focused to what type of people you are inviting, your purpose is failure. The makeup of mind is very necessary before making a web page. It is more beneficial and easier to attract people with simple and focused content and theme. For example if you are offering something for car drivers, like accessories etc and you talk about the roads and its pain, the difference is like two opposite poles. Thus focusing the topic and then following it is basic for a web page optimization.

The selection of right keywords: Keywords are those magical words that mean a lot to your website, as these are the words find your site; no matter what ever and how much exact is your targeted profile. Keywords are necessarily those who bring the traffic towards your website if placed in a right way, for practicing one can go for Yahoo! tools, this will make your idea for selecting the keywords, and the keywords should be kept as that describes your website in one word. For example if your website is about I-pod, then your keyword should also be I-pod, the question arises how it will recognize your website. So the answer to it is that the search engine makes results on behalf of content volume and design. The keyword should be simple and easy, it must match the idea of the visitor who types the keywords, and your content should be so defining to his search. As a tip, it is said that the keyword gets old and non-profiting if kept constant, the websites were content is upgraded should also seek to look at the keyword as well.

Concentrate on your content: now that you have selected the keyword, you have to write and write. Content is the detail matter and a wide knowledge and awareness of the product or service in words, presented before the visitor or the consumer. The content explains of any thing and it has the power to attract or repel any consumer. The content is also credited a lot on the search engine optimization high-ranking purpose. The content can be anything, short or long, descriptive or brief summary. Experts recommend that the page must have 400-500 words in an article. More or less doesn't matter much. The content should be easy, convincing and it should has the potency not only to make reader visit but also make him stick to your website. This can be done with the help of lots ideas, the upgrading, special offers, blogs and a lot of there are tricks that make reader think of your website every time he needs the service or product you are offering. The content should be easy and simple, readable enough and that it should be unique to make optimization purpose more successful.

The optimization: now that your web page is completed, it has a proper keyword and the content as well is readable, the process now begun of optimization, although all the basic steps have been followed but still there are few tips that are to be put along so that the optimization is more feasible and profitable. Although good content plays a high role in the optimization, it specifies and clears the point of product or service, but a Meta tag over it will make it more clear and visible. A Meta tag may be a sentence or two that contains the keyword that you chose for the page. Meta tag is a description of the keyword itself. Not all website needs meta tags, they are specially used by the small companies, but to them as well it is recommended not to kill the space of readable substance to place a meta tag. Other than this, image alt tags are also used. It is defined as placing the image according to the keyword and describes your web page topic. It is an optional thing to be done.

Placing the title taq: the title tag is the word that appears on the search results of search engine. The title tag should be compelling and it should promote more traffic towards your website. The title tag if is not compelling it is non important no matter how well your page is optimized, but it doesn't get the click. The title tag plays a role of hook to your website; it displays your location and website on the search engine results. The title tag should be kept consciously, it is observed by the competition of what makes visitors turn towards the most famous links. What attracts and what sort of tags are the other companies using. Performing search by oneself does it. Title tag is not the most important thing but all parts are to be focused among which title tag is preferred as it provides the opportunity to grab a client.

Satellite TV On your Computer

Satellite TV on your PC:

It should not come as a surprise to those interested to watch satellite TV on computers that there are already millions doing so. You can now watch TV on your PC; all your favorite movies, shows, sports, news, cartoons, or music can now be watched directly on your PC with no need of using cable connection.

Your computer can be instantly turned up into a Satellite TV, with much more features and applications available, just for you to enjoy the comfort of your home a in the delightful manner of having all your favorite TV channels online on your PC. In order for you to be able to enjoy and take benefit of this option, all you need is a PC and an internet connection with no extra requirements, such as Satellite, Cable, Subscription, or monthly fees.

All you have to do is to Google the TV on PC Pro software, download it onto your hardware, and install it (speaking of which the installation is a very easy task to perform, all you have to do is purchase the installation steps, configure your TV schedule regarding the channels that you want to have broadcasted on your PC), and afterward you can start enjoying the programs you are so much into.

The software can be downloaded from retailers online and installed quickly. There are clear instruction manuals that take you through a step-by-step approach. The Truth About Bluetooth Headsets

Nokia, Sony, even Verizon Wireless is unveiling the newest trend in Blue Tooth technology, the headset. Demand is high, and understandably so. Studies have shown that many accidents occur while people are dually driving and speaking on cell phones. A Blue Tooth headset can solve the problem by freeing both hands for the wheel.

Everywhere you look, companies are producing Bluetooth Headsets faster than the rising cost of gasoline. Nokia, Sony, even Verizon Wireless is unveiling the newest trend in Blue Tooth technology, the headset. Demand is high, and understandably so. Studies have shown that many accidents occur while people are dually driving and speaking on cell phones. A Blue Tooth headset can solve the problem by freeing both hands for the wheel and allowing people to focus their attention on the task at hand-driving.

Now, for those who are unfamiliar with Blue Tooth and headsets that utilize this mobile technology, don't let the name fool you. Maybe you have conjured up images of geeky brains in MIT walking down the street with electric pulsating wires stemming from football helmets as they signal to each other in modified walkie talkies- nothing could be further from the truth. Today's modern headsets are little more than a comfortable, small and lightweight piece that rests over the ear. This technology is revolutionizing the way people communicate wirelessly and if modern manufacturers and patents are a clue to the future, will soon replace the traditional hand held cell phone.

Not exactly a headset, but you can see a great pair of Blue Tooth wireless sunglasses worn by "Dog" on the A&E hit series, "Dog the Bounty Hunter". I wonder what other nifty gadgets the Dog has on the show! But if you look closely, you can catch the Dog speaking into his glasses (no and not in common "Bond" spy fashion) and see the rest of the team hear his words loud and clear.

With the announcement that Verizon is releasing the Logitech Headset and making it available to all of their wireless customers, we are sure to see a sudden rise in the amount of Bluetooth headset wearers.

As testament to the sudden interest in headsets, the company Late On has just received an order for their mobile headsets to be released. These headsets are so versatile; they can be clipped on to a collar and are perfect for conducting phone conversations, as well as for listening to MP3 files.

One of the world's leading manufacturers of mobile phones is also embracing the design of Blue Tooth headsets, Nokia. With three new Nokia headsets soon to be released we can see that the major companies are investing their own dollars in the production of these wireless devices that give users greater freedom and mobility. The world is pulling the wires on many of their devices and now we can see that Blue Tooth headsets and Bluetooth Earpieces are winning the race in mobile technology, with hands waving freely at the finish line.

Advantages of Wireless Networking

Carrying out a neat installation using Ethernet cables to connect computers to a DSL/ cable modem router is often quite annoying. Most people don't want cables traced throughout their home and it is beyond my abilities at home DIY to conceal them in an effective way.

A wireless network means that you do not need to run cables all over your house connecting the computers to the router. If you ever have to move then your wireless router just packs up with you and is as easy to install in your next place.

It is quite common however for people to use a mix of wired and wireless solutions on their home networks. This is what I do. It is possible as almost all wireless routers also have 4 normal network ports to add wired computers to the network.

If you already have a home network the a wireless router is the cheapest way to add wireless connections.

Ten Reasons you Should Use Bluetooth

If you are one of the many people who wonder exactly what Bluetooth technology is, you're about to get a brief rundown.

If you are one of the many people who wonder exactly what Bluetooth technology is, you're about to get a brief rundown.

1) Bluetooth provides the ability for items that often need to be hard wired to be completely wireless. It allows you to use your laptop, cell phones, and hand held computer without being limited by cords, wires, and connections. In other words, Bluetooth technology allows portable devices to be truly portable.

2) Bluetooth is a surprisingly affordable option when compared to similar technologies. Because Bluetooth is inexpensive for companies to utilize they are also willing to pass the savings along to consumers.

3) Perhaps the greatest thing about Bluetooth for the average consumer is the fact that it is easy to use. There are no complicated sequences of keys you have to learn in order to make use of your Bluetooth devices.

4) Another winning fact about Bluetooth devices is that they will work with other Bluetooth enabled devices. If you switch from a Motorola phone to a Samsung phone (provided they are both Bluetooth capable) you will not have to be a new set of accessories in order for them to work with your phone.

5) Low interference is another bonus for these devices. People often find that wireless devices receive constant interference by others operating on the same frequencies. This is not an issue with Bluetooth as it utilizes technologies that limit the risk of this occurrence.

6) Lower energy consumption is another benefit of Bluetooth over similar devices. This means you will drain your battery less often or use less electricity in the use of your Bluetooth devices.

7) Bluetooth allows compatible devices to share data and voice communication. This means that you can drive more safely while talking on your cell phone.

8) You have the option of creating a Personal Area Network (PAN) with your Bluetooth device. This network operates within a 30 foot range and can have as many as 7 devices connected.

9) Bluetooth is emerging technology. As such, they are constantly offering better features and services. They are also behaving very wisely in creating consumer loyalty by making their new technologies compatible with existing technologies. This means that you can continuously upgrade your devices.

10) We've seen many fads come and go in the cellular community. Bluetooth, however, seems to be in it for the long haul. They are committed to raising the bar for wireless technology and have in the process gained many loyal customers and fans.

If you rely on cellular technology isn't it time you checked out how Bluetooth could benefit you?

Imagine a World Without Wires: Bluetooth Devices

You've no doubt started to hear a lot about bluetooth wireless technology and for good reason. Thanks to its technology, users of bluetooth technology can enjoy low bandwidth benefits through their wireless connections. With its short-range, low power technology, users can easily network without wires. By being able to send and receive data at up to 720kbs, bluetooth wireless technology customers can use radio waves to communicate with each other, or their Bluetooth enabled devices.

Imagine a world without wires.

Blue Tooth Specs
The specifications for bluetooth wireless technology devices allows for different classes of radio transmission ranges. These ranges can reach up to about 300 feet by boosting the radio power. This technology isn't limited to line of sight as the waves it utilizes are directional waves, which are capable of transmitting through various obstructions.

Industry Model
Quickly becoming the wireless communications industry standard, the real benefit of bluetooth technology is that it goes beyond the old-world uses and connects all types of devices. Imagine connecting your computer to your cell phone, digital camera, laptop, PDA or any other digital device - without messy wires. It shouldn't take you long before you see that bluetooth wireless technology is going to completely redefine wireless. No more wires. You can share information like never before. Need to print something from your cell phone? No problem. With bluetooth technology enabled devices, you can.

Bluetooth eliminates the need for cables and wires while providing connectivity on a level we've never experienced before. This low cost solution links computers, cell phones, and any manner of other bluetooth wireless technology enabled devices quickly and easily.

Blue Tooth is also a sturdy link, which will allow you to go about business as usual rather than worry that a connection is going to be impaired because of its wireless nature. Bluetooth has shown none of the ordinary weaknesses of other wireless devices to interference and constant interruption by other devices operating on the same frequencies.

Another benefit to bluetooth wireless technology is that it operates at a frequency of 2.4 GHz, which allows it to be license free and widely available throughout the world. No matter where you are, it is quite likely that your bluetooth wireless technology device will work.

Security is another matter that is often weak with electronic devices, particularly those with wireless connections. Blue Tooth offers advanced mechanisms to ensure your security and that of your information. It is very difficult for your data to be compromised or your conversations heard with Bluetooth.

Did You Know:

- Not surprisingly technology leaders around the world such as Nokia, Ericsson and IBM are involved with Bluetooth along with thousands of other organizations, who utilize their expertise to further the number of devices that are Bluetooth enabled.
- which is 3-8 times faster than the average serial port.
- Only products that proudly display the Bluetooth logo with work with other Bluetooth devices.

Another great feature of bluetooth wireless technology is its ability to optimize its power consumption. The radio feature is very power friendly and the device itself only consumes a minimal amount of power that it 'borrows' from a cell phone.

How Bluetooth Features Will Change What You Do Today

Bluetooth is the name for an emerging technology that uses short-range radio links instead of cables to connect portable electronic devices. This allows a wide range of devices to communicate with one another without actually being physically connected to one another.

Some of the most notable features of Bluetooth technology are the facts that it is relatively inexpensive (this is first and foremost for many potential consumers); it is not extremely fragile, it is very user friendly, and has low power consumption. Bluetooth can be used to create wireless Personal Access Networks (PANs) while offering fast and reliable transmission of both voice and data. Bluetooth offers wireless access to the Internet (for home access as well as laptops, PDAs, and other hand held devices), cell phone services, and local access networks.

A complete Bluetooth system requires an RF portion in order to send or receive data; a module for processing, a memory module, and an interface to the electronic device it is to communicate with (such as a phone, Palm, or camera).

The lower-layer protocols can typically be found within the baseband module and the host processor must support the protocols of the upper-layer. Simply put, the RF-baseband solution supplies the means necessary in order to communicate with the host. This additionally requires an interface by which they can connect as well as the 'upper-layer' protocols in order to actually apply the applications the product is designed to support.

The higher upper layers of Bluetooth technology are referred to as Bluetooth Profiles. These profiles are literally a set of protocols that are optimized in order to complete specific tasks or applications. If you wish to share files between two linked devices they must be compatible devices that have similar applications across the spectrum of devices.

The Bluetooth stack has the following components:
1) RF portion. This is necessary for reception and transmission.
2) Baseband portion.
3) Link Control Unit
4) Link Manager. This supports lower layer protocols.
5) Interface. This allows a connection to the host device.
6) Host processor. This will support upper layer protocols.
7) L2Cap. This also supports upper layer protocols.

The Radio Frequency (RF) supplies the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) element to the system while the baseband microcontroller processes the signals. The link controller supports the link manager and controls the baseboard functions by sending and receiving data, identifying the device sending data, performing authentication, and determining the frame to which the transmission should be sent. The link controller also directs the way devices communicate with each other as well as enabling the power saving sleep mode when not being directly used.

The link manager is responsible for setup, authentication, the configuration of links, and other lower layer protocols. The baseband and link manager work together in order to establish connections for the network.

The Host Controller Interface (HCI) allows the communication of lower layer protocols to the host (which contains a processor) device. The L2Cap supports upper layer protocols and enables communication with the lower layers. The higher-upper layer protocols are often very specific tasks and applications that require integration with the lower layer applications. The ability of all these components to work together and communicate adequately is very important to Bluetooth technology.

Core Protocols in Bluetooth technology:
1) Baseband. This layer combined with the link control layer enables an RF link to form while offering two distinct physical links with corresponding baseband packets. These links are Synchronous Connection-Oriented and Asynchronous Connectionless. Synchronous Connection-Oriented connections can contain either audio or a combination of data and audio while Asynchronous Connectionless packets can only be used for the purpose of transmitting data.

2) Link Manager Protocol. This is responsible for establishing links between Bluetooth devices including but not limited to security functions such as authentication and encryption keys as well as the negotiation duty cycles for the Bluetooth device and the device on the receiving end.

3) Logical Link Control and Adaptation Protocol. This adapts the upper layer protocols over the baseband.

4) Service Discovery Protocol. This allows device information, services and characteristics of services to be queried. Once queried, a connection can be made between two or more Bluetooth devices.

Telephony and Cable Replacement Protocols:
1) Telephony Control Protocol. This is a bit oriented protocol that defines the control signal for the call and establishes speech and data cells between the devices.

2) RFCOMM. This is a serial line emulation protocol. It is based on European Telecommunications Standardization Institute's specifications and emulates control over Bluetooth baseband. This provides not only transport capabilities but also allows for upper level services that use serial lines as transport mechanisms.

Adopted Protocols:
1) PPP: PPP is the point-to-point protocol. PPP Networking is the act of taking IP packets from the PPP layer and putting them on the Local Access Network.
2) TCP/UDP/IP: TCP/IP/PPP this is used for all Internet bridge purposes. It is also available as transport for the WAP.
3) OBEX Protocol. This is a session protocol that is designed to exchange data simply and automatically.

Advantages:
Bluetooth technology makes the use of peer-0to-peer connectivity simpler by enabling all manner of devices to communicate freely and automatically. Bluetooth also allows for fast, secure voice and data transmissions. While the range for connectivity is only about 30 feet, line of sight is not necessary for the signals to be received and transmitted.

Bluetooth is also capable of functioning in noisy radio environments while ensuring audible voice transmissions even in less than ideal situations. It can correct data through use of error correction methods while providing a high transmission rate. You also have the ability to use encryption in order to provide added layers of security.

Bluetooth may also be used to create ad hoc networking among personal devices in order to quickly exchange information.

Computer Networking At Home

Have you ever thought about computer networking at home? If you have a small collection of computers around the house and also a small collection of computer users, you can connect each one of those computers to one another and share data, software, and hardware including a single Internet connection. There are many creative uses for home networking, however it's an ideal situation when upgrading each computer to the same capability is financially out of the question. On a home network, each computer has access to the equipment of the better machine in the group as if that equipment were their own.

Connecting computers with either an Ethernet cable or a Wireless connection can create a home network. The easiest and cheapest method uses an Ethernet connection, which requires a series of network cards, a cable for each computer, and a router. The network card is similar to the old modems we used in the past to connect to the Internet, however in a home network, it's used to communicate with every computer that's connected to it.

First, select the computers that will connect to each other and then install the network cards inside each of them. Then you'll connect a cable to each computer that will communicate with the server. These cables will not connect to the server directly. Instead, they will connect to the router. To enable Internet access for each computer, this router will need to connect with a modem of the host machine.

Once the hardware is set up correctly, you can then setup the network from Windows on each machine. Make sure you read the instruction manual of your equipment for details. Within Windows, you can set up a home network similar to the way that you set up an Internet connection. Only this time, you'll set up a LAN (Local Area Network) connection.

Windows should walk you through setting up a LAN after starting the computer and once complete, you can begin to connect one of your machines to the network. You can do this through Internet Explorer by typing in the address and password required to access the router. Check the router manual for the address and password required to access the router.

Connected to the network, each computer can send files back and forth, open programs on a remote computer, play the sound files and videos located on another computer, and share a single Internet account to browse the web, download files, or chat with someone in an entirely different country. If a single printer is available on only one computer in the network, every connected PC can send documents to it and print them out. Kids will enjoy the ability to play multi-player games and adults will enjoy the ability to blast a single message to everyone at once or maintain a group schedule.

Since we're describing a home network that will connect to the Internet, you're strongly advised to install a protective firewall program to thwart Internet viruses, worms, or other damaging spyware code. Firewalls prevent - but they do not repair. Only anti-virus and anti-spyware programs can reverse damage. So you should install a firewall on the computer that grants access to the computer, and then install an anti-virus and anti-spyware program on each of the remaining computers in the network.

If you have files that should not be shared (bank statements, credit card information, etc.), you can restrict their access in one of several ways. You can put them in a new folder and then remove the "read" permissions for that folder. Or you can specify who can (and who cannot) access specific files with a password from within Windows Control Panel.

There are many benefits to be gained by setting up computer networking at home. You can share many facilities at a lesser cost, and also have the convenience of accessing materials in different computers.

get more visitors to website is a part of website marketing

Getting visitors on your website is the one on the most important part of website marketing. There are many ways to get visitors on the website. These are article submissions, forum postings, directories, Podcasting, You tube ads, email listing, viral marketing.

Article marketing is considered as one of the vital source. Try to write and submit as many articles related with your website keywords products and services. Promote these articles and guides and submit it to good article directories like ezine and dashboard etc. In this way apart from getting visitors, your website will also come higher in the search engines and you will also become expert in the niche market.

Make a blog for your website. In this blog, Post only those articles which are relevant to your website products and services. Get your blog listed in blog directories and make comments on other similar blogs along with links back to your blog. The structure of blogs is search engine friendly and there is constant flow of fresh content on your website. This too will be helpful you to get higher search engine rankings. When site comes in the top of search engines it attracts more visitors.

Forums and online communities are also a good source of traffic in website marketing. Find some online forums and communities and sign up for free membership. Don’t post in a casual way but instead of it take your time and try to familiarize yourself with the forum and then see the subcategories and targets in the area which suits best with your website. Discuss the topic openly, give your opinion and try to show interest in the topic.

When you spend some time in the forums giving genuine comments, people start recognizing you as expert and more visitors start getting attracted to your website.

Another great way is directory submissions and link exchange. Internet marketers still believe directory submissions to be helpful techniques. It f you submit to higher page rank and quality directories you have chances of getting more visitors as well as strong back links. Everyone likes to have their linking on websites have page rank 7 and more. Link exchanges cover contacting with the webmasters with a same theme website matching with yours. They put your link on their website and you put their link on your website. Thus you get the chance to exchange traffic with each other. It is not really a bad method but it should used in moderation.

Another technique getting popular these days is podcasting which works pretty like radio. The difference is that broadcast is done via mobile devices and content delivery is through the source of internet. This new form of broadcasting information has opened tremendous opportunities for you for delivering information, entertainment and news. This also creates impact on the end listeners and users and they are keen to visit the website based on you podcasting information, news and events.

Other method that is very successful in increasing online traffic to websites is viral marketing which involves a person to share something which is interesting, and useful. This can be in the form of a story, a game, an interesting video, an informative book or any thing you like to share it with your friends or visitors. The good practical example that can be implemented is to create an e-book, report or software program which could be interesting enough to encourage people to follow your website more keenly.

Besides these there are other alternate sources like ppc, email marketing, you tube ads, put your ad in search engines and classifieds that are helpful to increase traffic.

Create Bootable USB Flash Drive

Requirements

A computer with a BIOS that allows for booting from a USB port.
I used a Dell Optiplex GX260 that has a Phoenix ROM BIOS Plus version 1.10 revision A05.
A Bootable floppy disk or CD.
I used a Windows 98 bootable CD. For those who have Dell systems, you can also use the bootable Dell Optiplex Resource CD that is used to reinstall your system with Windows 98.
Utilities with the ability to create a master boot record, create partitions, set active partitions, and format and transfer boot files to the active partition
I used the DOS FDISK and FORMAT that are on the Windows 98 CD.
Of course, the USB drive that you want to make bootable
I used a 256MB SanDisk Cruzer Mini USB Flash Drive.
Directions
Make the USB drive the first in the drive sequence.
Why?? fdisk does not allow for a partition to be set as ACTIVE (bootable) unless it is the first drive. It is most likely that your hard drive(s) is set as the first drive. This needs to be changed.
How?? Setting your USB drive to be the first in the drive sequence can be done by following ONE of the methods below. No matter which method you follow, the computer MUST be booted with the USB drive plugged in into the computer. Take a note of how the options that you are about to change were set before, as they will need to be changed back later.

Method # 1. BIOS drive sequence option.
Depending on your BIOS, there may be an option to change the drive sequence. On mine, there was an option labeled "Hard-Disk Drive Sequence". If your BIOS has this or a similar option, make sure you change the sequence so that the USB Drive is listed first.

Method # 2. Disabling other hard drives.
Again, this is done from the BIOS. Different BIOS's may have different options to disable the hard drive. On mine, the system had just one hard drive. I changed the option labeled "Primary Drive 0" to "OFF".

Method # 3. Unplugging the hard drives.
If your BIOS doesn't have an option to change the drive sequence or to turn off the hard drive, you can turn off your computer and unplug your hard drive(s). Make sure you know what you are doing here. Opening your computer case may result in voiding your computer warranty if you have one.

Boot the computer from the boot floppy/CD into the command prompt with the USB Drive plugged in.
Run fdisk
Use fdisk's "Set Active Partition" (option 2) to set the primary partition on the USB Drive to ACTIVE.
This step assumes that a primary partition already exists on the USB Drive. If this is not the case, use fdisk to create one. As noted in step # 1, fdisk will not allow for setting the the partition to ACTIVE unless the drive the partition is on is the FIRST in the drive sequence.
Exit fdisk.
Reboot the computer from boot floppy/CD into the command prompt with the USB Drive plugged in.
At the command prompt enter the following command: dir c:
This step is just to verify that the C: drive is actually the primary partition on the USB Drive. Regardless of the result that the command generates whether it be a listing of files or an error message, what is important here is to make sure that the size of the primary partition on the USB Drive is roughly equal to the sum of the empty space and the used space.
Format and copy the boot files to the primary partition.
At the command prompt, from the directory where FORMAT.COM is located, enter:format /s c:
Run fdisk /mbr
"fdisk /mbr" writes the master boot record, in this case to the USB drive, without altering the partition table information.
Restart the computer and choose booting from the USB Drive. If all goes well, you should see a C:> command prompt.

DO YOU KNOW WHY THE WEDDING RING IS WORN ON THE FOURTH FINGER...?

DO YOU KNOW WHY THE WEDDING RING IS WORN ON THE FOURTH FINGER...?

here is a beautiful and convincing explanation given by the Chinese Legend...

The Thumb represents your Parents
The Second (Index) finger represents your Siblings
The Middle finger represents Yourself
The Fourth (Ring) finger represents your Life Partner
& the Last (Little) finger represents your children

Now try this -
Firstly, join your palms together (face to face), bend the middle fingers inwards and hold them together - back to back
Secondly, hold the remaining three fingers and the thumb - tip to tip

Now, try to separate your thumbs (representing the parents)...,
They will open, because your parents are not destined to live with you forever, and have to leave you sooner or later.
Please join your thumbs as before and separate your Index fingers (representing siblings)....,
They will also open, because your brothers and sisters will have their own families and will have to lead their own separate lives.
Now join the Index fingers and separate your Little fingers (representing your children)....,
They too will open, because your children will also get married and settle down on their own some day.
Finally, join your Little fingers, and try to separate your Ring fingers (representing your spouse).
You will be surprised to see that you just CANNOT do this, no matter how many times you try....
Because Husband & Wife have to remain together, united all their lives - through thick and thin!!

Things You Should Know About CPM Advertising

As you look at advertising on other blogs, forums, and websites, you might come across advertising rates that are broken down into CPM.

CPM stands for Cost Per Mille, or basically cost per thousand views. So if a site has its advertising set at $5 CPM and gets 10,000 page views, then the cost to you is $50.

Some advertising doesn’t give you the CPM value, but it can still be quite important to calculate this yourself as a larger site with more traffic might seem like a good deal, until you realize you are paying $100 for every 1000 advertisement views.

The formula to calculate the CPM is:

CPM = Cost of Ad / (Page Views / 1000)

The standard for most blogs seems to be around the $3 CPM mark, as this is the point where the site is able to profit from their work, and the advertiser doesn’t feel like he or she is getting a bad deal.

Depending on the site though, CPM rates can vary from $0.01 all the way up to $100. Really, as an advertiser or a site owner you have to decide what is most worthwhile to you.

Read/WriteWeb, a very popular site I enjoy, has a CPM of $20. And so for a 160×600 Banner on their site, the minimum cost for 20,000 impressions is $400.

TechCrunch advertises a CPM of around $3. An advertising campaign with them for a 125×125 pixel graphic is $10,000 per month and requires a two month commitment.

eXtra for Every Publisher has a variety of advertising positions open, and using last months statistics, which we are blowing out of the water this month, you will see that my advertising rates are between $1 CPM and $2 CPM, which is well below the industry standard.

Why would a site owner go below the $3 CPM mark?
I can think of two reasons of the top of my head, and eXtra for Every Publisher fits the first one: age and traffic focus.

eXtra for Every Publisher is a new site, having been created in July of this year, but because of how focused the traffic is, and how popular the site has become in such a short time, I think the advertising options here are an amazing deal.

The second reason why sites go below the $3 CPM mark is usually because they don’t have focused traffic. Sites like personal blogs, or generic informational sites are so broadly focused that their can be a limitation in how much success advertisers have, and as such, they don’t want to pay as much. A smart website owner will understand this, and adjust their advertising rates accordingly.

When do you go above $3 CPM?
If you have built up a powerful brand, a popular site, and have decided to further monetize your site, then you can raise the rates of your advertising.

I think that there does come a point though where you will hopefully get so much traffic that you can charge $3 CPM and make $10,000 a month, but until that point, if you are the resource for a subject, and you know you can find advertisers willing to pay beyond the $3 CPM mark, then raise your rates.

You will know if you have gone too far as you won’t be able to sell your advertising positions, even with hard work.

The last thing you will want to consider is the amount of space you are giving an advertiser, and its positioning. Larger advertisements and premium advertising space usually goes for higher rates than positions lower on the page and in smaller spots.

Final words
Getting advertisers, and setting your rates can be very difficult. If you price too low, then you will have a full slate of advertisers, but you won’t be getting the most revenue return for your effort. If you price too high, then you will have a hard time securing advertisers, and again may not make much revenue for your efforts.

Also, as a site grows and changes, it continues to become a balancing act. There are some who have done very well for themselves through advertising, both at higher CPM rates, and lower CPM rates. It all depends on the site, the advertisers, and the owner.

Download MegaVideo Directly Using ClipNabber

clip-nabber.jpg

MegaVideo has really impressed me since the day of its release. The challenge to “beat YouTube” still looks far from reality but making it to the top #200 Alexa sites in just a matter of 2 months is definitely one big achievement for MegaVideo. I like MegaVideo in some aspects that it has a good collection of videos and the quality is also nice.

Lately in August I told you How To Download MegaVideo Videos which was a big search engine hit and got me a lot of traffic but the method was quite not-so reliable and was based on luck.

Today I present to you ClipNabber which is a service that helps you download videos from YouTube, DailyMotion etc but the coolest feature of ClipNabber is that it will also let you download videos from MegaVideo directly. Just put in the URL of the video you want to download and Nab it. 5 seconds of processing and you are good to go!

Orkut Style Redesigned To True Blue Simplicity

Orkut Logo

This year is the year of revolution for Orkut. Orkut has implemented a lot of new features ranging from Polls in communities to multimedia scraps but that doesn’t end the journey of Orkut here. Orkut is rolling out another change which will definitely give its users a sizzling taste of spice.

Orkut’s new style: True Blue Simplicity

Orkut has introduced a new style which is called True Blue Simplicity and is currently available only to some randomly selected users. However the whole Systen shall experience the change in a week’s time and the new style will be made default for every user. This is definitely a good news for all those people who use Orkut as their main social networking platform and of course as I am one of them so this is good news for me too.

True Blue Simplicity Preview

true blue simplicty

You can see a preview of True Blue Simplicity above and it definitely looks cool and smooth. I never knew that even Google was so fond of Web 2.0 standards and styles. The primary color of the new theme is again blue (I have no idea what do they guys see in Blue) and there are new icons and rounded corners. The style loads as fast as the old one (Thanks to CSS)

I think this change was needed badly and thank God they have finally planned to implement it. This makes me think that Orkut has no plans of letting its users use custom styles like MySpace but still this is an enough treat for Orkut users for now. I wonder what are the reactions of Orkut users after experiencing this change :)

Google Shared Stuff: Bookmark and Share Favorite Links

Google Sharef Stuff Logo

Google System recently discovered a new service by Google that lets you share interesting links with your friends and the entire world. The service has perhaps not been launched officially yet but can still be used in a normal manner like every other Google Service.

Google Shared Stuff

Google Shared Stuff is a new service by Google which aims to evolve social bookmarking and gives you the ability to save your favorite links on a specific profile page or even mail them to your friends right away. Plus you can post your favorite links to any of the famous social bookmarking networks like Digg, Del.icio.us and Furl.

share-stuff-button.png

To use the Google Shared Stuff feature you need to need to drag a bookmarklet to your browser’s link bar or to click on the “Share” button from a web page. Currently the “Share” button is only visible in Google Videos according to what Google System is reporting.

How To Use Google Shared Stuff Bookmarklet

google-shared-stuff.png

When you click on the Google Shared Stuff bookmarklet in your browser it will open a popup window and offers three main ways to share content with your friends and family.

  • You can add the item to your Google Shared Stuff page, which would look something
  • You can email the page, with a custom message
  • You can post the page to some related social bookmarking sites

Google Shared Stuff Profile Page

google-shared-stuff-profile.jpg

Every user gets his/her own shared stuff public profile page where others can see excerpts to your favorite links and articles. The link to your shared stuff profile can be found at

http://www.google.com/s2/sharing/stuff

Google Shared Stuff even lets you add tags to your favorite links and articles and you can even browse the most popular links in a particular tag.

Google Shared Stuff RSS

This is a good feature that I discovered in Google Shared Stuff. It will create an RSS output of all the links that you share publicly and of course being a blogger and a developer we know RSS have a million uses and can be used anywhere to fetch content.

If you want to see a preview of Google Shared Stuff you can check out my Shard Stuff Profile page at

http://www.google.com/s2/sharing/stuff?user=113193723355957147452

I will primarily use it to feature articles from my own blog :)

Get Your Adsense Payment via Western Union Quick Cash

Google Adsense

Google Adsense is no doubt the world’s best ad network but until now the most annoying thing about it was that it did not allow fast payment methods like Western Union Mony Transfer or Bank Wire Transfer rather it was restricted to the traditional check delivery system which came through regular mail and could take weeks to reach you. Plus you had to then deposit your check to your bank account and wait 1 month more to get it processed but the good news is that Adsense has introduced a new fast method of getting your payments.

Adsense Money via Western Union Quick Cash

Google Adsense has now introduced a new payment form i.e. Western Union Quick Cash. Western Union Quick Cash is a payment method that allows you to receive your Adsense payments in cash using the worldwide Western Union Money Transfer service. Payments will be available for pick up at your local Western Union Agent the day after they are sent according to the normal payment schedule of Google Adsense.

But what exactly does this mean? and how much of a good news is it? It means that now:

  • No more wait for check through standard delivery
  • No more extra Bank fees
  • No more long term clearing times as associated with deposit checks
  • Fast money making and Fast delivery

However this feature is currently not available to all publishers (it depends on your location). Even after living in a country like Pakistan I was amazed and pleased to see that this payment option is available here :)

To change your payment form you need to login to your Google Adsense account and go to Payment Details. if you are eligible for Western Union Quick Cash then you will see an option there which looks like this

adsense-western-union.jpg

Before you go and pick up your payment via Western Union be sure to check out the Guidelines To Pickup Your WU Payment by Google Adsense Support.

I think its a good news for all publishers :D Please don’t forget to share the joy

Mitsubishi Evo X goes on sale

That's right, the 10th generation of the World Rally Car version of the Mitsubishi Lancer, a car made famous by enthusiasts and in video games, goes on sale today, October 1. But it will only be available at Japanese dealerships. Still, the timing suggests that we won't have to wait too long in the U.S., maybe just the amount of time for a cargo load to cross the Pacific. Also, one of the top features we are looking forward to, the dual clutch SST transmission, won't be available until November, so Christmas isn't coming early this year.

About the car, Mitsubishi states the "development goal for the new Lancer Evolution X was to make the car as fast as possible". In our book, that's a very estimable goal. Mitsubishi redesigned everything about the car, from body to powertrain to interior. Its engine is still an intercooled turbocharged 2-liter four cylinder, but it has been reengineered for more efficiency and power output. It even has 50 percent fewer emissions than the previous version. The Evo X's all-wheel-drive system has driver-selectable Tarmac, Gravel, and Snow modes, to fine-tune the grip and response.

You can also get the car with Mitsubishi's full raft of cabin electronics, which include hands-free Bluetooth cell phone integration, navigation, and a hard drive-based music server. We've seen this system in the regular Mitsubishi Lancer, and came away very impressed. If you can't wait for U.S. delivery, a fully loaded Evo X with the SST transmission will set you back about $32,380.

Feed a baby with just one hand

I'm at that age where most of my friends are starting families, so I find myself shopping for a lot of baby stuff. In fact, I've developed a bit of a reputation for giving the kind of wildly impractical baby gifts that only a non-parent would buy. But the Squirt baby food dispensing spoon just might help salvage my reputation as a gift-giver. Parents can fill the bright orange bulb with up to three ounces of baby food, then secure the spoon on the end. A squeeze of the bulb dispenses a bite of food onto the spoon, allowing for one-handed feeding. The spoon also comes with a protective cover so you can throw it in a bag and still have something for the baby to eat while you're away from home.

I do wonder how easy it will be to squeeze the right amount of food onto the spoon end. And I wonder how easy it will be to clean--assuming that it's dishwasher-safe. We'll be able to find out in October, when the Squirt will be available for purchase and I will no doubt give it to some unsuspecting first-time parents.
